Magnox is committed to delivering our programme of work to the highest safety and ethical standards, and we are looking for suppliers that can meet the safety and ethical standards we set to deliver a wide range of goods and services at various locations across the UK.
These pages are being developed to show suppliers how to get involved at Magnox sites and how to become a part of the team which delivers safe, efficient and fit for purpose solutions.
Supplier Communication Plan
Magnox has published its Supplier Communications Plan which sets out how we will communicate with our supply chain, and we would be pleased to receive any feedback you may wish to give on the plan. We hope you find it useful.

Magnox Top 20 Contracts
Magnox purchases a diverse range of goods and services across its programmes of work. Services include amongst others, Information Technology and resource provision, alongside other complex and discrete packages of work such as reactor core decommissioning. As well as maintaining the monthly publication of forthcoming opportunities, to further promote and encourage collaboration amongst our supply chain we are now publishing a summary of our significant current contracts. More information is available here.
Communication is crucial to us and we listen to feedback and act accordingly, recently we asked members of our supply chain to participate in a survey about our supplier web pages. Our thanks to those suppliers who completed the survey. The feedback has been reviewed and there is much that we can act on to make sure we meet the needs of our supply chain.
Some of the initial feedback from the survey will form part of a plan focussing on short and medium term actions as well our longer term aspirations for the development of these pages.
Suppliers voted the top 5 requests for information in the following areas:
- Upcoming opportunities and awarded contracts
- Organisation structure and key contacts
- Timescales for tendering
- Magnox procurement policy/approach
- Collaboration opportunities
A basic procurement plan is already available online which details upcoming opportunities. It is updated monthly on a rolling basis. We expect to reformat the plan and our supplier pages to reflect the level of detail suggested through the top 5 and this will happen over the next few months.
Once we have responded to the top 5 issues raised, we will further develop the web page to include information on:
- Routes to market
- Programme requirements/what we purchase
- Tender process and procedures
- Contract terms and conditions
- Magnox standards and expectations
