Magnox is delighted to be supporting the National Eisteddfod of Wales as one of this year’s leading sponsors, providing £30,000 in funding for the event.
Between 4th and 12th August, the National Eisteddfod will be held at Bodedern, Anglesey, offering an array of activities. Magnox will be present with a stand in the Science and Technology Pavilion, with a host of games to get you involved in understanding how nuclear decommissioning works.
Stuart Law, Wylfa Site Director said: “The partnership between the Eisteddfod and Magnox builds on the company’s long history in North Wales of supporting local communities. We are very pleased to be part of such an exciting community cultural event.”
Magnox is committed to providing and enabling socio-economic support for the communities in which it operates. Our community investment is supported by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and the Cavendish Fluor Partnership.
Elfed Roberts, Eisteddfod Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Magnox at this year’s festival, and are pleased that they are playing an active role in the Science and Technology pavilion. This year’s theme is energy, so it’s very fitting that Magnox is part of the exhibition. We have also worked with Magnox in the past on community projects, and it’s good to have an opportunity to work with them again this year on Anglesey.”
Magnox staff look forward to welcoming visitors to its stand throughout the week.
