Waste strategy progress - Berkeley/Stone drop-in sessions - 22 March 2016

Magnox is in the process of applying to local authorities for planning permissions to enable us to progress our strategy for managing intermediate level waste (ILW).

We’ve engaged extensively with stakeholders during the past three years to inform this strategy, which we believe support a £200 million saving to the taxpayer across our sites when compared to previous plans.

ILW includes waste such as fuel casings, resins and sludges; by-products of the generation process.

Our plans do not compromise safety, security or the environment.

Time and Location of drop-in sessions: Berkeley Library: 10:30-12:30  and Stone Village Hall: 16:00 – 18:00
