Opportunities
Magnox Limited sources its requirements in a number of ways:
Advertisements placed in the Official Journal of the European Union, for more details click here.
Through the use of the EU compliant Achilles Utilities Vendor Data Base, for more details click here.
Each Site and the Framework team maintain Annual Procurement Plans. These plans identify all the procurement activity for the respective Site and for the Framework team.
The latest copy of the Magnox Procurement plan will be available here.
Wider opportunties to work with our customer, the NDA, can be found on their website where they publish their requirements. For details of these and how they contract click here.
Additionally, if you are considering possibilities for supplying goods and services to our main contractors use the details on the Organisation and Contacts page to discuss specific opportunities.
Explanation of Procurement Routes
Achilles = Prequalification and Verification service provided to the Utilities sector via the Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB). By standardising the pre-qualification process, suppliers registered on UVDB can experience a reduction in the time and effort associated with completing pre-qualification documents. For more details see: http://www.achilles.com/en/uk/sectors/utilities/supplier-organisation2/
Existing Framework = The scope of work will be delivered by one of a number of existing contractors who may wish to identify suppliers to support their delivery of the work package within their supply chain
Collaborative Procurements = Where one or more Site Licence Company (SLC) participates in a framework procurement. The SLCs differing procurement policies prevent bidder details being disclosed.
Government Procurement Service = The scope of work will be delivered by one of a number of existing contractors to the Government Procurement Service, a body which secures contracts on behalf of all public bodies. More information can be found at http://www.contractsfinder.businesslink.gov.uk/
OJEU = The requirement will be advertised across Europe via the Official Journal of the European Union. Notices can be found at http://ted.europa.eu/TED/main/HomePage.do
Other = When none of the above categories are appropriate, or where the procurement strategy has not been finalised.
Note: Where the Procurement Route is specified as OJEU the notice may be issued more than 3 months before the ITT issue date. For other Procurement Routes containing a Prequalification process, prequalification questionnaires may be issued up to a week before the ITT issue date.
